Tax and Customs Authority Building
RACE was responsible for upgrading the condensing circuit equipment of the HVAC system at the Tax and Customs Authority’s Directorate of Installations and Equipment Services building in Lisbon.
The building, comprising 20 above-ground floors and 5 underground levels, is served by a centralized air-conditioning system divided into four independent units.
The intervention included replacing the cooling towers with new models, along with renewing pumps, valves, and other key components essential to the proper operation of the condensing circuit. The main challenges of the project were the building’s high daily occupancy—around 300 permanent users—and its central urban location, which required careful, phased execution to minimize operational impacts.
Once again, RACE showcased its technical expertise and operational capacity in demanding environments, ensuring uninterrupted building operations through efficient and reliable solutions.
