RACE was responsible for supplying and implementing the HVAC and Building Management System (BMS) solutions at Siemens Gamesa’s industrial facility in Oliveira de Frades, in a project completed within 5 months.

The work included the installation of rooftop units for climate control of the manufacturing area and a dedicated chiller for the process zone, ensuring strict control of temperature and humidity throughout different stages of rotor blade production.

In the manufacturing area, a dehumidification system was implemented to guarantee stable environmental conditions. In the finishing area, the solution combined dehumidification and humidification, optimizing comfort and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ).

With these solutions, RACE contributed to increased production efficiency and ensured compliance with the stringent quality standards of the wind power industry.
