The Senhor do Bonfim Hospitals (HSB) complex is a private institution dedicated to healthcare services, comprising residential, hospital, and outpatient units, spread over a 13-hectare property (48,194 m²). With modern facilities and technologically advanced systems at both national and European levels, HSB stands out for its use of high-quality materials and equipment, many of which were applied for the first time in Portugal.

RACE was responsible for the design and implementation of the complex’s technical management system, integrating several critical areas essential for hospital operations. The systems included smoke extraction control, operating theater pressurization, management of hot and chilled water production and distribution plants, integration of the HVAC system via ModBus protocol, ventilation control, and thermal energy metering.

This solution ensures the efficiency, safety, and reliability required for the proper operation of a hospital facility with such high technical demands.
