The PT Data Center in Covilhã involved RACE in the engineering and installation of technologically advanced and energy-efficient systems. Among the integrated solutions, particular highlights include the Building Management System (BMS), implemented via Johnson Controls, which ensures control of the electrical network, air conditioning, lighting, blinds, elevators, UPS systems, and other critical equipment, as well as the Electronic Security System, which includes closed-circuit television, access control, and intrusion detection.

In May 2014, this project achieved the prestigious Tier III Certification of Design Documents awarded by the Uptime Institute, becoming the first building in Portugal to receive this recognition. This certification attests to the high availability and continuity of services, as well as the ability to maintain the supporting infrastructure without causing interruptions, reinforcing the Data Center’s high performance, safety, and reliability.
