The refurbishment of the Portugal Pavilion was recognised at the 2025 Construir Awards, winning in the Architecture | Best Public Project category.

The project was developed by Álvaro Siza 2 – Arquitecto, S.A., under the direction of architect Álvaro Siza Vieira, and was recognised for the quality and significance of the intervention.

RACE contributed to the execution of the project, bringing its technical expertise to the refurbishment of this landmark building. The intervention renewed and adapted the Portugal Pavilion to accommodate congresses, exhibitions and other events, reinforcing its role as an important cultural and civic space in the city of Lisbon.
