Inaugurated in 2016, the ParkLake Shopping Center in Bucharest became the most innovative in Romania and the first greenfield project developed by Sonae Sierra in the country, setting new international quality standards. RACE was responsible for the design and full installation of the technical systems, including HVAC, fire protection network, electrical installations, decorative lighting, water supply and sewage systems, rainwater drainage, fire detection, access control, management and control of parking facilities, gas installation, and the implementation of the Building Management System (BMS).

The project integrated advanced solutions for ventilation and air conditioning, lighting control, fire damper management, and smoke extraction fans, as well as electrical and thermal energy metering systems. Energy efficiency measures were also applied, such as adaptive comfort in AHUs according to outdoor temperature, optimization of chilled water production and distribution through pump speed control and temperature algorithms, and optimization of hot water production and distribution with intelligent boiler sequencing and pump regulation.
