Loulé Secondary School
Loulé Secondary School underwent a modernization project as part of the Secondary School Modernization Program, established by a Resolution of the Council of Ministers in January 2008. This initiative aimed to equip Portuguese education with facilities meeting internationally recognized quality standards.
The intervention was based on three main pillars: the functional modernization of educational spaces, the improvement of building conditions in terms of infrastructure, thermal and acoustic comfort, safety, and technical networks, and the enhancement of outdoor areas and the connections between different pavilions.
For this school, RACE developed and implemented a Building Management System (BMS) solution to manage and optimize the technical installations. The system not only aims to rationalize energy costs but also to ensure high comfort standards for all users. The solution integrates monitoring of fire barrier logs, control of lighting circuits, and measurement and reporting of electricity consumption.
