In 2017, we carried out the Refrigeration and Catering project for the new IKEA store in Loulé. The refrigeration installation comprised two central plants (using R134A and R407C refrigerants) supplying the chilled and frozen chambers, as well as all refrigeration equipment distributed across the catering areas, with a total cooling capacity of 45,820 W.

A fully RACE-designed control system was implemented, ensuring proper operation of the installation, along with a certified temperature recording system for the chambers, guaranteeing the required quality standards for the stored products.

The design and execution of the Catering, Bistro, and Swedish Store line were developed in close partnership with the client, fully aligned with the requirements and needs of the spaces. This was the first store worldwide to implement this innovative concept.
