RACE was responsible for the supply and installation of the refrigeration equipment at the new Graciosa Slaughterhouse, covering the lairage, slaughter line, cold storage block, and technical rooms.

The project featured an R717 (NH₃) central plant with glycol water, providing a cooling capacity of 214 kW and ensuring high standards of efficiency, safety, and reliability. This intervention increased the island’s capacity for slaughtering, butchering, and meat processing, ensuring compliance with current technological and hygiene-sanitary regulations while enhancing the value of regional meat production.
