Inaugurated on January 28, 2023, the renovated Cruzeiro Building in Cascais now houses the new Academy of Arts, an important cultural complex for the municipality. This historic building was completely refurbished to accommodate the Cascais Theatre School, the Music Conservatory, and the Dance Academy.

Featuring an auditorium with a capacity for 312 people, a 150 m² stage, three dressing rooms, a projection room, and 21 classrooms, the facility is designed to support various areas of arts education.

RACE was responsible for the installation of the air conditioning systems (with an installed capacity of 560 kW), ventilation, smoke extraction, and domestic hot water (DHW) production. The intervention also included the implementation of a Building Management System (BMS), with particular emphasis on auditorium lighting control, allowing for different usage scenarios.
