The Continente Modelo in Porto de Mós opened today, a unique store featuring a truly innovative solution designed by RACE. The installation includes a refrigeration central unit with a multi-liquid and vapor injector (320 kW), integrated with ventilation and air conditioning systems using direct CO₂ expansion in the air handling unit coils.

This store is part of the European MULTIPACK project, which aims to introduce CO₂ technology in Southern European countries as an alternative to fluorinated gases, integrating both HVAC and Refrigeration systems. By introducing these new, more energy-efficient units, we aim to reduce specific energy consumption by over 25%.
