A landmark project that remains fully up-to-date. The supply and installation of the thermal plant at Sá Carneiro Airport set a benchmark for HVAC engineering in Portugal. Including an ice storage system of record specifications and dimensions in the country, this project had as its main objectives the reduction of electrical consumption for air conditioning, the optimization of financial costs for chilled water production, and the availability and use of electrical kWh according to the electricity tariff previously negotiated between our client and the power distributor.

A reference project of major importance for the North of Portugal, it stands as a historical milestone demonstrating the capabilities of today’s RACE.
