After four years of construction, Bolhão Market has fully reopened to the public, preserving its historic identity while incorporating modern and efficient technical solutions. RACE played an active role in the restoration of this emblematic building in Porto by installing refrigeration and freezing chambers, ice production and storage equipment, as well as a central refrigeration plant using CO₂ technology—a sustainable solution aligned with current energy efficiency and environmental responsibility standards. This project demonstrates RACE’s ability to combine tradition and innovation, contributing to the enhancement of urban heritage through excellent technical solutions.
