In 2003, as part of the modernization process of the Portuguese Air Force, aimed at strengthening its credibility within the geostrategic context of NATO and Europe, the renovation of Buildings A and D of the Air Force General Staff was carried out.

With an investment of approximately €1.5 million and a construction period of seven months, the project aimed to install a Building Management System (BMS) and improve the working conditions of the facilities.

The intervention included the installation of air conditioning, ventilation, and smoke extraction systems, the implementation of the centralized technical management system, and the execution of the associated electrical installations, ensuring a more efficient, safe, and operationally compliant environment for the Air Force.
