The refurbishment project of the refrigeration facilities at the Continente store in Colombo Shopping Center involved the replacement of display units and the overhaul of the refrigeration system, with a total cooling capacity of 783.20 kW.

A new cascade system was implemented using the following refrigerants: glycol water (MPG), R744 (CO₂), which has excellent thermodynamic properties and is considered environmentally friendly (zero ODP – Ozone Depletion Potential and minimal GWP – Global Warming Potential), and R717 (NH₃), one of the most efficient refrigerants with minimal environmental impact (zero ODP and zero GWP). The control and safety system meets high standards, ensuring the optimal operation of the entire installation.

With this refrigeration system in place, the project achieved its goal of a more efficient and environmentally friendly installation.
