Installation of a cooling system
The project involving the remodeling of the cooling facility at the Continente store at the Colombo shopping centre consisted of the replacement of the display units and the remodeling of the cooling system, with a total cooling power of 783.20 Kw.
A new waterfall system was implemented using the cooling fluids: glycol water (MPG), R744 (CO2), which has excellent thermodynamic properties and is regarded as eco-friendly (zero ODP - Ozone Depletion Potential and minimum GWP - Global Warming Potential) and R717 (NH3), one of the most efficient coolants with the least environmental impact (zero ODP - Ozone Depletion Potential and zero GWP - Global Warming Potential). The control and safety system features high levels of requirements and guarantees the smooth performance of the entire facility.
The implementation of this cooling system achieved the goal of a more efficient and greener facility.
